Media Experience

* Exhibitioner, fifty-piece gallery show for Femme Cats. Sputnik. Brooklyn, NY. November 2006.

* Documentarian for the Veteran Feminists of America. Summer 2006—Present.

* Still photographer for “A Lesbian’s Life&rdquo, an upcoming network documentary/reality series. September 2006—Present.

* Ten-piece exhibitioner in the Visual Resistance Group gallery show. New York, NY. July 2006. (Proceeds from the exhibition will go towards legal fees for Daniel McGrown, a women’s rights activist and environmentalist).

* Documentarian for Bora Yoon, a musician and performer. Spring 2004—Present.

* Photographer for numerous well-known performers, including Ani DiFranco, Tori Amos, and Riot Grrl groups such as Le Tigre.

* Designer and photographer for ad campaign for Nature’s Child, a sustainable and environmentally sound line of clothing for mothers and children. May—June 2006.

* Exhibitioner in the Arts Factory Group show. Byron Bay, Australia. January 2006. (Proceeds from the exhibition went to the L.E.A.F. Foundation, which helps raise money for orphans in West Africa).

~ Shot still images for the experimental film “SKELETON,” which premiered at the 2004 International Black Women’s Film Festival and appeared at the San Francisco Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.

~ Exhibited a twelve-image series that explored the development of the female psyche, in conjunction with the Women’s Assembly Theater.

Teaching Experience

* Art Therapist, Child and Adult Services. Gaithersburg, MD. 2002.
~ Counseled at a therapeutic day camp for moderately to severely emotionally challenged children, ages 7-9.
~ Served as a mediator between students, parents and Child Protective Services.
~ Organized and led artistic programs that provided children with poor communication skills a new method of expression that ultimately led them to build their self-awareness and esteem.

* Teaching Intern, California State Juvenile Department, Dewitt Anderson High School. Santa Cruz, CA. 2001.
~ Taught and counseled at a specialized high school for displaced at-risk teenagers.
~ Performed formal assessments of student progress for informational use by both teachers and school psychologists.
~ Developed and taught a literature program whose curriculum included the production of a bound collection of autobiographic accounts from 30 girls, most of whom were teenage mothers.
~ Gained the trust and respect of students by immersing myself in their daily lives.
~ Appointed by my supervisors to perform one-on-one tutoring and to accompany my students on special field trips.
~ Concurrently attended classes in education and juvenile justice, which were taught by the California State Juvenile Department and sponsored by the University of California.

~ Received Goodwill Ambassador Award for volunteer services in orphanages in India, Vietnam, and Croatia.
~ Contributed in the raising of $19,000 for orphanages in Vietnam by selling over 100 photographic prints.
